S&S 8th grade B team had their very first game against Howe on Thursday September 6th. When we were about to start the game everyone had the “first game jitters” and the  tension could be cut with a knife. Playing was the most fantastic feeling anyone could have felt. For a while nobody could serve it over the net on either team and we started getting one point at a time, then finally the last minute came around and we lost to the Howe Bulldogs. At the end, we walked off the court with our heads held high and with a good attitude. We all worked hard but we fell just a little short when it came to that final minute. Now we are ready to put it behind us.

7th grade Gold Team suffered a loss but they still tried their best. We had a tremendous first game and they will do better. The girls on the sideline cheered them on. We played Howe Bulldogs on their turf, and it gave them home advantage, but that’s no reason for us to lose. The coaches were still very proud because of how much they progressed from practice.

7th grade red team stomped the competitors with their amazing ability to serve and keep the ball alive. The audience cheered them on as their coaches led them to victory. The girls had great enthusiasm even though the win was shaky at times. It came down to the final straw when Payton White stepped up and served 6 points into the game and that’s what gave us the big win.

8th grade A team also had a loss, but we still came home confident and happy with ourselves. We were on our way to a victory but they came back and showed us what they were made of. The coaches were still impressed, but they know we can make improvements.
