"Speech is very important for students," said Ms. Turner. Effective speech is critical to being understood. Students with speech impairments need to practice the c sounds and the k sounds. They also need to practice the t sounds. In addition to working hard on their speech goals, the students like to have fun. "Our class likes to make desserts on Fridays," said Ms. Turner. The class also loves to make brownies, cookies, cakes, pies, cupcakes and ice cream on Fridays.
