For Clarion-Limestone’s sixth graders, it’s required to make a heart model project. Pictured is Megan Angel’s heart model project. The projects were to be made out of clay, play dough, or salt dough. The model represents the heart’s four chambers, four valves, the arteries leading away from the heart, and the veins leading into the heart. The poor oxygen blood parts are blue, while the rich oxygen parts are red. The models are placed on thick cardboard, foam poster board, or thin paneling board. These projects demonstrate the hard work the sixth graders dedicated to learning the parts of the heart just before entering Christmas break.
