I want to get one thing straight: I have read all the books, saw all of the movies, and have been the (only slightly!) Twilight-obsessed tween at one point in my life. Looking back now though, I really see what Twilight really was.

     The Twilight books themselves are fairly average in their own respect, and are sufficiently entertaining to read for the most part. The movies, however, were definitely a huge miss. What saved the last movie from the soap opera-ish melodrama and the disgusting final scenes was the unintentional humor, for example: telepathic werewolves having an argument.

     What gets to me is a certain group of people known as “Twi-Hards.” These are the people who camp out (literally) in front of Twilight premiers for sometimes days at a time, wear nothing but Twilight clothing. They theme their bedrooms, or and other rooms, around the series, and assault ‘Anti’s’ (or in other words, haters) and/or the stars of the movies themselves such as Robert Pattinson. 

     Sadly, there has also even been a term developed for those who finish the last book called “post-Twilight depression.” The Urban Dictionary definition is this: “The mixed feeling of wondering awe and devastating sadness when a person finishes the last book of the Twilight saga, Breaking Dawn.” Please, don’t become one of these people!
