Fast, fun, lovable kittens are always available at the Rock County Humane Society. Two little balls of fur can put a little bit of excitement in anyone’s life. Tom and Jerry are two exceptional felines. Tom and Jerry are domestic shorthaired cats. They are white and caramel colored with bright pretty pink noses, that would stick out anywhere.
Tom and Jerry were brought into the Humane Society on June 15th, 2004 as one and a half week old kittens. They have grown much bigger throughout their eight months stay at the shelter. These two frisky felines are still kittens full of energy. It is so hard to tell which one is Tom and which one is Jerry by just looking at them. They look alike, but the two have such different personalities.
Jerry is a very spunky kitten. He is brave and outgoing. He will chase his brother Tom around in circles. Jerry jumps and leaps everywhere. When he is taken out to be played with he will do flips and twirls in the air to catch toys. He also loves to climb. The only surface available to him right now is a scratching post, but he shimmies right up with lightening speed.
Tom’s personality is much different from his brother’s. Tom can be timid. He is more tentative and curious of the world around him. He is wary of his surroundings and takes it all in before any exploring. Yet this little kitty has plenty of personality. Tom is very playful, even though he is shy.
Tom and Jerry would like to be adopted together, but they would understand if they need to be separated. Just as long as they find a home.
When adopted, they will come with all their updated shots, and both will be neutered. The cost to adopt a cat is $70 for under a year and $55 for over a year old. The Double the Love program offers two kittens for $130 and two cats for $90. So you get a deal if you adopt more than one. Besides their updated shots, the cats have micro chips inserted, which act like dog tags.
If you are not looking for a cat, still check out the Humane Society because they also have many dogs waiting for someone out there to take them home. The past animals featured are still available for adoption: Tanner, Kobe, and Bart & Lisa have been moved to Mounds Pet Food Warehouse for adoption.
The Humane Society on 222 S. Arch St. and are available at (608)752-5622, and by fax at (608) 752-4201.
