Comeback Kid has returned to the hardcore music scene with their second full-length album entitled Wake The Dead. The CD consists of 11 heart pounding songs and has been rated hardcore album of the year by Alternative Press Magazine.

The music on this CD is nothing new for Comeback Kid. All the classic sounds are there, fast guitars, perfectly timed breakdowns and intense drum beats. But this time around the kid has tried something different; they actually slow some songs down so people can sing along. Now do not start thinking, “Man, I do not want to listen to a hardcore album with slow songs, what is up with that?” Well do not worry, the slow songs on the CD are still very fast, just slower than most. In all actuality these songs will still make your mother run out of the room with her hands over her ears.

The Comeback Kid consists of five extremely talented musicians from our friendly neighbor to the North, also known as Canada. The musicians are Scott Wade (Vocals), Andrew Neufeld (Guitar, Vocals), Jeremy Hiebert (Guitar), Kyle Profeta (Drums), and Kevin Call (Bass). The group that was originally signed to Facedown Records, the label that produced their first CD Turn It Around, has now signed to major label Victory to produce Wake The Dead.

The overall quality of this CD is amazing. I have listened to it numerous times and I have not found a single thing wrong with it. The songs on the disc are (in a single word) brilliant and the lyrics are so straight from the heart and unpolished that the CD will surely find a home in the front of your CD case. The price of this CD is extremely affordable for all the hardcore kids. If you have $9.99 then this CD is for you.
