Adrian Wangkham and Ulysses Rincon are two former Lincoln students. The two took up hip-hop and other styles of dance during high school.

Rincon is a year older than Wangkham but they’ve always been best friends and stuck together throughout their dance careers. The two pals joined Express Yourself Performing Edge (EYPE) when Rincon was a junior and Wangkham a sophomore.

Mr. Rincon was a member of the 2008 graduating class. He had a dance-off with fellow EYPE dancer, James Robinson to decide the school’s “Best Dancer”. Rincon, of course, won and with stunning swagger.

“I thought he was going to beat me because he had the crowd, then I landed my back tuck and it was over!” says Ulysses.

As for Adrian Wangkham, he was a senior in 2009. Aside from furthering his dance skills and working he also managed to be quite social and got the crown for Prom King!

“It was so unexpected!” Wangkham says about the win.

The two have had a lot of success lately. Last summer their studio made the trip out to Branson, Missouri for Nationals. EYPE dancers performed excellent with a number of dances ranking high.

The all-male piece choreographed by the dynamic duo got second overall in the competition.

After an exhausting, successful trip the work was far from done. Rincon had been invited on a solo trip to the Lone Star State.

The school in Texas, UTEP invited Rincon to choreograph three dances for their dance team. Not only did it go well but they chose to perform the dances during the halftime of their football game.

Now it’s December and aside from the holidays, Wangkham and Rincon are already focusing on the new dance season ahead. They’ve begun choreographing their all-male piece and even a duet. Great things seem to keep coming for the two. Look out.
