The Liberty Ranch High School library opened officially on September 5, 2012. Libert yRanch has been opened for four years and the library has been opened for only two years. Mrs. Siegalkoff is the new librarian for this school year. Last year Liberty Ranch had its own librarian, but this year the school shares with Galt High School. That means the library is only open certain days.

“Unfortunately I am only here Wednesday and Friday and every other Monday,” said Mrs. Siegalkoff, the librarian.

Some students say that if Liberty Ranch had its own librarian they would go more often. They feel that way because they don’t want to have to change their schedules just to go. Some people just like to go in there so they can sit and do homework on the days that it is open.

Senior Samia Salim said, “My favorite thing about the library is the books I like to read and that I am able to do my homework in there. “

The library may be a good place to go if you need somewhere to study, finish some homework or just want to hangout. Though the selection is small, there is a great variety of books in there.  The librarian recommended reading anything that is going to interest you because everyone has a different taste in books.

So remember if you want to go tothe library its open Wednesday, Friday and every other Monday.  Its open from 7:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M. Charges are ten cents a day for late books but stops at five dollars.

Senior Madeline Kummerle said,“My favorite thing about the library is all the new books. It’s fun reading something and knowing you’re the first one to touch it.”
