At-a-glance

This is a prime example of a few things that you will need for the beach! - Mickie Maxey

Are you headed to the beach with friends or family? Are you unsure of what to take? Let me help you. First of al, when you go to the beach you need to check the weather before you go. There is nothing worse than getting rained on at the beach. The best thing to do is get everything ready the night before. Below is a list of things that you should consider bringing.

· Sunscreen- This is a must! It would be better if you use the lotion instead of the spray, if you use the spray the wind will just carry it down the beach.

· Towel- if you plan on getting in the water you will need this to dry off.

· Bathing suit- even if you aren’t going to get in the water it is still good for getting a tan.

· Cooler- you should bring some waters and some healthy snacks. It is very easy to get dehydrated outside running around.

· Sun umbrella- so that you can have some type of shade.

· Money- a few extra bucks is a good idea. If you want a snow cone or need to buy something, you'll be prepared.

· Little wet naps- to wipe the sand off your hands before you start eating.

· Book- it can be a reading tablet like the kindle or a nook, or just a regular book.

· Sun glasses- to protect your eyes.

· Camera- This is very important so that you can preserve your memories.

· Flip Flops- it is better if you wear flip flops so that you can put them on and get them off easily.

· Hat- it is good to take a hat to keep the sun off your head when you are just sitting there.

· Toys- it may sound super elementary but there is nothing more fun than a beach ball, buckets to build sandcastles and a wave board to play with in the water.

· Beach bag- You got to have a place to put all of this awesome stuff.

· Music- take your iPod and a doc for it or a radio (battery powered).

· Chairs- You and your friends are going to want a place to sit down.

These are some super important things that you should take to the beach. But the most important thing to do is to stay hydrated. Drink lots of water while you are there. Have an amazing time!
