There is a lot to love about dressing up as your favorite action hero, princess, or anything in between and going around collecting free candy. It is a tradition that children look forward to every year on October 31st. However, as children get older, they have to start letting go of this tradition. Although many teenagers still dress up, many put away their pillowcase candy bags and stop going around their neighborhoods collecting treats. Or do they? 30 teenagers between ninth and twelfth grade were polled to answer this question. Amount of students who dress up and trick or treat: 12 Amount of students who dress up, but do not trick or treat: 10 Amount of students who do not dress up, but trick or treat: 4 Amount of students who do neither: 3 Amount of students who do other (go with their siblings, out with friends, etc.): 1 Well, there you have it. It was close, but more students still dress up and go trick or treating than those that don’t. Whatever you do this Halloween, don’t forget to have fun and be safe.
