filled to capacity with your peers,
talking and laughing
about last night's new episode,
you saw it too
but they don't ask your opinion,
nor do they want to hear it

Someone just whispered your name
you're sure of it,
others are laughing
they're laughing at you,
feeling hot and sweaty
with hands that are clammy,
standing all alone

We're all humans
yet we separate,
we divide ourselves
when we are all the same,
why do we let others stand alone
nervous and struggling and trapped
on the outside
