It’s that time of year again--a new beginning, a new spring. Spring brings refreshing rainy weather that cleanses the Earth and allows new possibilities to bloom, like the possibility of becoming that organized person we all want to be.
Indeed, we all slightly envy the color-coordinated rooms of organizational gurus. It seems as though it is impossible to become as neat as they are. However, it is not. With these tips, we can shake off the winter blues and organize your bedroom beautifully. So play some music and roll up your sleeves!

Before any of the actual spring-cleaning takes place compile a list to follow. On this list write out all your cleaning plans based on your room’s features. For example, if you have carpet, jot down vacuuming. Secondly, you need to literally empty your room of all things, only leave furniture. Put your bed sheets, office supplies, and everything else in a bin and move it into the hallway. Thirdly, follow the cleaning orders on your personalized list. Next, get a trash bag and throw away or recycle anything you don’t need like old damaged shoe boxes or used scrap paper. Note: keep intact shoe boxes.
Now it is time to actually organize. Starting with your desk put all pens and pencils into a holder. If you do not have a pen and pencil holder use a mug to spice up your desk. Also, if you do not have other desk containers utilize more mugs to hold supplies like paper clips or rubber bands. Additionally, another great way to beautify your room is to recycle a cola bottle or pickle jar. Start off by cleaning out the container with soap and water. Then add water to the container and put in some fresh flowers. Moreover, you can usefully recycle cereal boxes to create an open file holder as well. According to Green Living, all you need to do is take two or three cereal boxes that are of the same size. Once you do that, remove the top flaps on the cereal boxes. Then you separately cover eachof the cereal boxes with attractive paper. I suggest printing a pattern on paper that matches the décor in your room. Reinforce the cereal boxes by placing sturdy cardboard between each box; secure the boxes together with heavy–duty craft glue or hot glue. Your desk is organized and smartened!
Let’s get to the books: color-coordinate your bookshelf. If you do not have a bookshelf, tastefully color-coordinate your books and align them on the floor. When you are done with this you can move to your dresser. Begin by separating your clothing according to the new spring season. Put all of your lovely, lighter clothing in the top drawers and heavy winter clothing in the bottom drawers. Do the same with your closet. Keep all dark winter clothing on one side of the closet and all spring and summer clothing on the other side of the closet. Then use extra shoe boxes as bins and store them on the top closet shelve. Neatly organize your shoes based on its springtime usability. After that, tidily make your bed. Lastly, open up the windows, let the light in and pat yourself on theback for a job well done!
