The many types of superglue! -

A simple invention that revolutionized life as we know it: Super Glue. Super Glue was discovered in 1942 by Dr. Harry Coover and Fred Joyner when they were experimenting and trying to make a transparent plastic. During the experiments, they discovered cyanoacrylates; molecules that would glue objects together and keep them glued together with an extremely strong bond. Nowadays, companies use cyanoacrylates as the base for industrial strength glues such as Krazy Glue, Super Glue, and Cyber Fix Glue. Cyanoacrylate consists of monomers of cyanoacrylate molecules in it's liquid forms, and when it dries, it forms incredibly strong bonds with whatever it comes in contact with.
During the 1960s, Eastman Kodak sold cyanoacrylate to Loctite, which in turn repackaged and distributed it under a different brand name "Loctite Quick Set 404." There are many uses for Cyanocrylate, incouding binding two broken pieces of something back together.
