Benchmark exams have had Herron High School’s students and teachers stressed out this past October.
Teachers say it has definitely been a hectic time for them because they not only have to write the tests, but they have to make sure their students are well-prepared for them.
Students, however, have the responsibility of studying and getting themselves ready for the exams. Teachers feel as if they have given students every opportunity to do well, but they don’t think students took the time to study.
Mrs. Waltermire said, “I think I prepared the kids for the test, but they really should have studied more."
“I think I failed my Latin midterm, but I think I will do better on finals,” said ninth grader Chelsea Ireland.
