Spirit Week 2010 at Cedar Ridge High School was a success. Students participated in theme days throughout the week: Monday-Wacky Tacky, Tuesday-Twin Day, Wednesday-Team Day, Thursday-Character Day, and Friday-Spirit Day. The week concluded with a pep rally in the football stadium on Friday, with each class participating in games. Throughout the week, students earned points for their outfits, created class banners, contributed spare change, and participated in the pep rally games.
Although the freshmen led the way in points for the majority of the week, in the end, the seniors took the spirit stick. Students and teachers also shaved their heads to raise money for St. Baldrick’s and cancer research.
Cedar Ridge girls played in the Red Wolf Rumble football game, with the sophomore class beating the freshmen, and the junior class winning against the seniors. Jabari Rogers was presented as the Homecoming King at the game.
On Friday, the Red Wolves beat Granville Central and Channing Scott was named the Homecoming Queen. On Saturday night, students danced the night away at the first annual homecoming dance. Thanks for a great spirit week Red Wolves!
