As a new assistant principal, Mrs. Michelle Gonzalez is grateful for the position and is ready to serve and help students at HHS.
Mrs. Gonzalez is looking forward to a very great year. She had previously been a counselor and it will be her second year here at HHS.
“I feel very grateful and appreciative to Harlingen High School for giving me this opportunity to continue serving and helping all our students here,” Mrs. Gonzalez said.
According to Mrs. Gonzalez, she has a bigger task than she had when she was a counselor.
Some of Mrs. Gonzalez responsibilities are teacher supervision, CTE & Music Departments, Section 504, student assessment and testing, technology academy, campus technicians, and students Gr-Me.
“Some difficulties of the job are making sure the best decisions and right decisions are made for all the students, staff and the community,” Mrs. Gonzalez said.
She said she feels great to be able to continue, serve, and support all the students even from a different position.
“It’s been great, I have gotten a lot of support from Mr. Zepeda, the administration team, staff and students.” Mrs. Gonzalez said.
