Lately at RHS, students have been rocking a new fashion that shouts “I want to be comfortable.” This latest fashion is name-brand sandals. These sandals are known to have a comfy feeling as soon as your foot is placed inside them. Students who play sports usually rock these slips- on, but now everyone is in tune and has a pair themselves.

These sandals also come in a few different brands such as Adidas, Nike, and Air Jordans. These brands put an unusual cost of up to thirty dollars on sandals than usual sandals, however they are very popular and worth the price. Also they come in many different stylish designs and multiple colors making the sandals coed.

In the past, these particular sandals were also common to wear on a “lazy” or “hot mess” day, but they are now more commonly worn with regular outfits, as well throughout the week. “I wear sandals three times a week.” explains sophomore Hennessy Flowers who is an example of this trend. As any other student Flowers wears his sandals with socks, a regular out-fit, or sometimes basketball shorts and a plain t-shirt.

It is clear that RHS has a strict policy of dress codes which clearly limits student’s outfits of their desire, but there is no dress code against this fashion. Students can wear them without stressing about whether or not they look appropriate.

If you don’t have a pair yourself take this story into consideration and go buy a pair. They’re a great investment. You can be comfortable without getting cited, making them worth its price.
