Seventh grade basketball has done very well! This year's seventh grade team consisted of Vanessa Schook, Morgan Dove, Taylor Steinke, Jenna Clink, Morgan Armon, Whitni Reid, Cheyenne Stewart, Christina Schulze and Olivia Smith. They won every game this season. Their hardest game was against Alcona, but they pulled it together to come out with a win. Their coach is Coach Kuzewski.  He provided them with many ways to fake out opponents, along with other defensive and offensive strategies. They think that he is the best coach for basketball. Morgan Dove says that basketball showed her how to work together as a team and how to help her teammates when they need help. We asked her if she was going to play next year.  Of course, she said, “Yes!” She said she loves basketball and that it’s her favorite sport. We asked her what her plans were for Halloween, and she plans on going to a friend's house and go trick-or-treating. She is determined to have fun!
Eighth grade basketball this year has also done outstanding. Their record for this season was four wins and five losses. Although they lost the championship, they still came out on top with second in the North Star League. Their coach this year, Mr. Muszynski, is very proud of them.  He was glad to see the improvement in how the girls played during the championship game. In the second game of the end-of-season tournament, they only lost by eight points! During the regular season, they only had nine girls.  For tournaments they had 11. Congratulations to Morgan Dove and Vanessa Schook for being brought up to play. Elyse Cordes said she likes him as the eighth grade basketball coach.  She has learned to keep her grades up in school because she loves to play basketball. She plans on playing again next year because basketball is her favorite sport.  She always plays during her free time. We asked her what she was going to do for Halloween. She plans on going to a friend's house and eating some candy.
