Student wins first place in poster contest

A La Joya student has recently been honored for his artistic abilitiy.

Sophomore Antoine Gilmore took first place in the Southwest Transitions Expo poster contest held Feb. 3. The theme for the contest was to show what your career goal is and the steps needed to get there, starting in high school.

Gilmore's poster showed how he would one day reach his career goal of becoming a video game designer. The poster also included some inspiring quotes.
