Just off Highway 90 in Ocean Springs, one may see a sign for Woody’s Roadside. Well, if someone is looking for a quick bite to eat, I would not recommend going in there on a busy day. However, if someone is looking for a chance to sit down, enjoy a nice burger and fries, and maybe watch a football game or something, then Woody’s is the go-to place. My friends and I went in one day, and I definitely was not expecting the restaurant to be as nice looking as it was. The place is fairly larger on the inside than it probably appears to be from the highway. There are large flat screens on the wall for anyone’s sport viewing pleasure, and even a spot for a band to play. As for the food, my friends and I ordered the onion petals as an appetizer; it was cheap, yet delicious. For my meal, I tried the Hawaiian burger, and it did not disappoint. The burger was cooked to perfection, and the hamburger bun was toasted just right. The fries were a mixture of crispy ones and fluffy ones, so it is bound to please any person who is picky when it comes to his or her French fries. Considering how busy the place was when we went for lunch, the service was rather good. The place seems to have a small staff, but the waitresses were speedy when it came to refilling our drinks. Overall, I give Woody’s four out of five stars, and from now on, I know where I am going to go when I want to watch a football game and grab a bite to eat.
