Senoritis already kicking in? Don’t let it take over yet because there are some things you should be doing to prepare for college.

According to Counselor Nancy Klesner, seniors should be taking challenging courses, attending college days and be taking the SATs and ACTs (list of test dates available in counselor’s office) in the fall.

For financial aid you should apply by January. All students can do this by going to fastweb.com or picking up a copy of “Show me the Money” in the counselor’s office, English class or on-line at (http://guhsd.k12.az.us/~Greenway/ ) under the counselor’s heading.

Klesner said, “ Before Christmas be applying to colleges. If you don’t already have SAT and ACT scores just put down the dates you are taking them and have the SAT and ACT people send it to the colleges which you’re applying to.”

*Web sites for scholarships and financial aid are: collegeboard.com, collegeview.com, gocollege.com, fastweb.com, and for those in the arts, ARTSawards.com
