Over-packed classes this year are causing us to do poorly and become annoyed by our peers.

Having to stand up to see the board, saying “what?” after every sentence because the teacher is out of hearing range and constantly feeling like we’re lost in a sea of students has become an everyday struggle for us.

It’s hard to comprehend the simplest of material when all 35 students in our Government class are all talking at once in a giant roar.

Yes, we understand the administration has tried their best to even out the student body, but it’s still a pressing issue. Is there not another method of arranging classes to solve this problem?

Dealing with 36 students in our Accelerated Biology and nearly 40 in our Geometry 5-6 class doesn’t feel evened out to us.

How do they expect us to achieve in a class where students create an environment that is impossible to learn in?

Often times teachers act like they’ve lost control too, which just adds to the chaos.

Honestly we do not blame the Greenway faculty though.

A 36 to one student to teacher ratio does not exactly sound fair to the teachers or students.

Brenda Baker, assistant principal of student services, said they tried helping by adding sections to drafting and art.

That’s fine but what we really need is sections added to core classes.

Electives are great, but core classes matter and are more important to us when it comes to us performing efficiently.

Basically, we would greatly appreciate it if the district would step in and assess the situation from the student’s perspective. Maybe if they were stuck in our Theatre 3-8 class with over 28 kids or our Accelerated World History class with 39 students, they’d realize the situation is in need of a quicker solution than they realize.
