As many of us know, it is softball season for our Lady Hornets. I took the time to interview one of our varsity softball players, Kat Bain. She has played junior varsity the past three years but this year is making her catching debut on the varsity team.
       I asked Kat what her expectations for the season were and she replied," To win area and regional and continue the journey to State." Our Lady Hornets have been to state seven times and claimed the title three of those trips. I followed up with a few more questions; "How will this season compare to the last?" Kat answered, "The bond we share with each other at every practice and game." When asked what she thought the hardest factor to overcome would be, Kat said," Knowing we will have amazing teammates leaving us."
      The Lady Hornets have just started their season, opening with a second place win in the North Jackson tournament last weekend. Come out and support them to help get them back to state!
