“It was an honor to use ‘edutainment’ to bring awareness to such a cause as for breast cancer.”
- From the mind of Ms. Chase
Pink as a color for a month is the type of change brought about by a single lady: Susan G. Komen. The ripple effects have reached far and wide, to where football players in professional, college, and high school teams are allowed to wear pink on the field. Schools, banks, and even supermarkets join the movement created by Ms. Komen. In our own way, we did too. Our very own Ms. Desiree Chase worked in conjunction with her Surgical Precision Performance Team, the Saber Players, and the Saberettes to put on a great show. The whole student body was present to watch the hard work put into the dance routines and statistics reading. Other than awareness, we also took a moment to remember the loved ones lost through breast cancer.
