Imagine being able to choose from over 100 different flavors of ice cream, at the small price of only 70 calories. Tasti-D-Lite is a new frozen yogurt shop that offers this delicious and healthy treat in such a great variety.

            Tasti-D-Lite had its grand opening on December 9 at its newest location, the Festival at Bel Air. This frozen yogurt franchise started in New York City in 1987 and has expanded to more than 60 locations. This is only the second Tasti-D-Lite in Maryland.

            “I was so excited when I first heard about it and even more excited when I actually got the chance to go there,” said sophomore, Caroline English.  “It’s extremely different from other ice cream places, like TCBY and Coldstone.”

            There are numerous ice cream shops around Fallston, but Tasti-D-Lite may be the new TCBY.  Unlike TCBY, you are able to get your own frozen yogurt and put whatever toppings on yourself. Your cup is then weighed to see how much it will cost. So not only are there no set prices, but you get to choose how much you want, instead of being ripped off by getting less than what you’re paying for.

            It doesn’t stop at just frozen yogurt, either.  Tasti-D-Lite offers blended drinks like smoothies and shakes. You can even add six different kinds of tasti shots, including probiotics and multi-vitamins.  

            I could not believe how different it was from any ice cream place I have ever experienced. Its bubbly environment and different style to getting ice cream will leave you wanting to go back again and again.  And the best part?  No guilt!
