It feels like just yesterday that we were saying there wasn’t going to be an NBA season, but now we are at the halfway point. As always, we had our favorites coming into the season: The Miami Heat, Chicago Bulls, and The Oklahoma City Thunder. But at this point in the season, a few twists and turns have the potential to make the rest of the season an interesting one.
There have been quite a few teams that have been able to open fans’ eyes with their play, including the San Antonio Spurs, The Lob City Clippers (Los Angeles), and the Philadelphia 76ers. All of these teams are starting to make the regular NBA season popular again.
That being said, here are the five questions you need to ask going into the second half of the season:
1. Can Lebron and company finally get him his elusive first ring?
2. Will the Thunder continue to succeed with Russell Westbrook’s rising questionable shot selection?
3. Even though the Knicks have struggled, can they, with the emergence of Jeremy Lin, be an actual title contender?
4. How good are the Los Angeles Clippers really?
5. How can the veteran squads of the San Antonio Spurs and Boston Celtics compete in their respective conferences?
As for my prediction, I took into account all of the teams and their strengths and weaknesses. I was able to determine who I think will win the NBA title this season.
I believe this is the year Lebron James will acquire his first ring. He and the Miami Heat will defeat Kevin Durant and the Thunder, four games to two in the finals.
