Four years have come and gone, and before we know it, it’ll be us walking across the stage clad in the traditional robes of brown and white alongside the friends we’ve come to know throughout our time in the Fallston school district.

We are a class that is truly one-of-a-kind, with a class dynamic that sparks admiration from parents, teachers, and especially us, your ever-faithful Editors-in-Chief.

“What strikes me as truly special about this class is the overall participation in any and all events important to them,” explained Ms. Turowski, the woman to whom we owe boundless gratitude for such a smoothly run senior year. “In comparison to past years, the overall sense of community is the piece of the puzzle that completes and distinguishes the Class of 2012.”

High school is stereotypically cliquey and judgmental, and that is not to say that Fallston is any exception. However, within our senior class this year, we have witnessed incredible growth in the camaraderie between people of all different groups, creating an outreach that spans from athletes to bookworms and back again.

“Usually, there’s one cadre that drives the school. With this class, it’s just everyone,” explained Mr. Jester.

A good example of this sense of community is the school spirit that radiates within our class. Huge congregations of Fallston seniors were found not only at football games, but also at field hockey, volleyball, ice hockey, and lacrosse games throughout the school. Whether it was just a regular season game or the State Championship, the seniors could always be found en masse supporting their classmates.

“Besides the three state championships, the most notable thing about this class in athletics is the amount of outstanding senior athletes that so many teams will be losing next year,” said Athletic Director and coach Mr. Cesky.

Another complimentary characteristic that your editors also wish to include is how appreciative and supportive the class is of one another.

“The desire to provide service to others is evident in every area of the building,” said Mrs. Sullivan. “The Class of 2012 shows respect for each other, and the compassion they show for others is present in all of their activities. The pure joy in celebrating each other’s successes and championships is something that you don’t always see.”

As the editors, we’ve seen firsthand so many of the accomplishments that this class claims as their own, and as a result, we couldn’t be more proud to be able to call ourselves a part of this senior class.

It’s hard to believe that at this time next year, the wonderful Gabby Molite and Garrett Ross will be sitting where we are now, reminiscing about their time spent as your Editors-in-Chief and writing their final send-off to the senior class.

At the beginning of the year, we never would have guessed that the newspaper would help us grow so much, not only as your two editors but as great friends that worked together seamlessly to make for one heck of a newspaper.

The fact that we successfully established an online edition is an accomplishment that we hold especially dear. We have made our own legacy here through the newspaper that will be remembered along with the rest of the countless proud achievements of the Class of 2012.

Although it’s truly the last thing we want to do right now, it is time for us to bid Fallston a final farewell. It has been a pleasure serving as your editors this year, and we wish all of the seniors the best. We can’t wait to see what amazing things our class has done 10 years from now at our class reunion.

Your Friendly Neighborhood Editors,

Sam Hubner and Katie LaHatte
