Senior Dan Maier pops the question to his girlfriend, senior golfer Gianna Pro, with a display of roses and golf balls. - Gianna Pro
Heading into April, it is
only a matter of time until the senior class says their goodbyes and moves onto
the new chapter of their lives. But before all of that, there is still one
night to anticipate; Prom Night.
Though Prom is typically thought of as solely
pretty dresses and appealing tuxedos, one of the most important parts of prom
has become how one got asked to attend. Undeniably, Penn-Trafford is
tremendously creative in just about everything, including ways to ask their
dates to prom.
Senior Justin Welling will be attending
his senior prom with junior Amanda Steffey, but it was not easy to get there.
Welling surprised Steffey after a long night of
field hockey practice, with a candlelit revelation.
Leading her from her garage up her front
stairs with signs, Welling set up a light show of candles spelling out the word
“PROM?” across Steffey’s Bocce court in her backyard.
The display obviously took a lot of work
considering that it was about four feet in height. Steffey said yes and expects
to have a wonderful time on the special night.
What is better than being asked to the
prom with some of your favorite things? Senior Gianna Pro will be attending her
senior prom with her boyfriend, Dan Maier. Though the two are already together,
that did not stop Maier in his quest to impress.
While Pro was at a long practice for the school
musical, Maier placed many of Pro’s favorite items on her car to surprise her
after rehearsal.
The display was complete with flowers, a
Moo-latté and five golf balls. A Letter was written on each golf ball
spelling out “PROM?”
Since golf is one of Pro’s passions, it
was a perfect way to combine what she loves into the big question.
The night will undeniably be a
perfect one for these seniors, Maier and definitely an unforgettable way that
she was asked.
If
one is experiencing trouble thinking of a way to ask a desired date to the
prom, approaching some of these creative geniuses would not be a bad idea.
Even though the “prom asking” stage
is tedious and
nerve-racking, these couples are sure to have a fun filled night and great
memories that will last forever.
