Dream House, starring Daniel Craig, Naomi Watts, and Rachel Weisz, opened in theaters on September 30; it is rated PG-13 for violence, terror, some sexuality and brief strong language. Weekend Box Office reviews put the movie at 6th place and brought in $8,129,355.
The movie centers on a successful publisher, Will Atenton, played by Daniel Craig, and his family. After quitting his job in New York City he moves his wife, Libby, played by Rachel Weisz, and two girls to a quite New England town. Unbeknownst to them, the house is the scene for previous murders. The family who resided in the house was murdered, a mother and her two children, the suspect being the father. Will begins investigating the murder, only coming up with one lead: his neighbor, Ann Paterson, who was close to the family. As they continue the investigation they find the answers will be just as disturbing as the murder itself.
For those who enjoy a psychological thriller now and again this is the perfect movie. Giving the movie an overall 6 out of 10 it is a movie to enjoy either at the movies or at your house when it comes out on DVD.
