With the coming of Spring comes the new spring fashions. - google
Wondering what to wear this spring, and what to put away in storage? Well, here are the answers.
Color is back, especially bright hues like orange, pink and blue. Print or colorful jeans are in high demand – great to wear with leather boots or tall, strappy sandals. Be prepared to tone down your colorful outfit with pastel accessories and light, sporty jackets.
Speaking of pastels, light and airy will be on the runway this spring. White sweaters, pants and skirts can be accessorized with pastel barrettes, belts and clutch purses.
Animal prints, stripes, polka dots and paisley will be perfect to mix and match. There isn’t a formula for mixing patterns, and doing it wrong can kill an outfit, so be sure to ask advice from your friends.
Sporty style is also making a comeback this season. Wedge-sneakers (think Nikes with wedge heels), wind-breakers and short skirts will be on the runway this season, along with jersey tops and big necklaces.
In contrast to sports-influenced clothing, another style this season will be sweet and girly. Pink and lace will be flying off store shelves – so don’t forget to check vintage shops for flowery dresses and sweaters. Be sure to have a handy pair of jeans too – they go with everything and can make an outfit perfect.
The most fun trends for 2012 are see-through bags (plastic and neon! Available at aeropostale.com) and big sunglasses. The most popular sunglasses right now are huge ones with colorful rims. Another fun trend is statement earrings – once again, think big and colorful! This season draw on Nicki Minaj for style inspiration.
In terms of hair and makeup, go big and bold. Messy ponytails and teased curls can bring an outfit to life. Dark eyebrows and colorful eye shadow will attract attention to your eyes and exaggerate every expression you make.
Wondering where to buy this spring’s biggest trends? Topshop, American Eagle and Urban Outfitters will be carrying clothes straight from Fashion Week. Vintage is still in and can be very budget-friendly. More affordable stores, like Target, American Apparel and Sears are great for color, prints and innocent style on a budget.
Colorful jeans and light jackets will be clothing staples this season, and be sure to have plenty of eye shadow and print-sunglasses. Be prepared with a colorful wardrobe and an armful of sweaters so that you will look straight off the runway.
