“The Voice” goes for its second season on NBC! The hit TV show is very popular among people all over the nation. To start off Season 2, judges Christina Aguilera, Cee Lo Green, Adam Levine, and Blake Shelton performed a various number of Prince’s songs during the season premier’s two-hour show.

“The Voice” is a very fair show that lets all people from all ages audition to see if the judges think they are good enough to be on their team. Last season the judges allowed only eight competitors on their teams, but this year they increased the number of spots to 12 on each team.

Many people have auditioned for the spots, some got lucky to have all four judges turn their chairs around. Others unfortunately didn’t have a single one. “The Voice” is not only about singing, it also tells heart-wrenching stories about how some overcame tragedies, depression, drug use, and many other sad stories.

The winner of Season 1, Javier Colon, has not been heard from professionally since the season ended, yet runners-up have been making their own music and are on tour with their coaches. It always seems like the runners-up always manage to somehow become more famous than the winners themselves. Either way “The Voice” is a thrilling show that is like American Idol, but without the bashing and a little less tears.

You can catch “The Voice” every Monday on NBC.
