Ms. Khwaja is a positive and colorful French born teacher, who became French-American in 2001. She loves reading and watching movies for she thinks movies are entertaining. Adapting to life at Thomaston High School, she has gotten along well with the students and teachers. She doesn’t have a favorite grade to teach but says, “The seventh and eighth graders are really cute.” While she hasn’t made any major connections with the teachers, she says, “The teachers have been very nice and polite.” She just hasn’t gotten the chance to get to know any of them yet. Ms. Khawaja has been to Lebanon, Germany, Tahiti, and France. And she says, “ I enjoyed the Tahiti beaches because my father used to take me waterskiing on his boat.” Not only does she know how to speak French, she knows a little Spanish and German too. Ms. Khwaja has taught French for 8 years and says “ my classes are enjoyed in general by students.” And then asked the students she had in her class, and one said “ this class is awesome, in general it’s fun without her even trying to make it fun.” Ms. Khwaja has a very positive attitude and enjoys teaching classes and doesn’t take her job for granted. And if you have her as a teacher, you will appreciate the enthusiasm that she brings to the school.
