From bags to bangles, the 80’s are back. Throughout the halls of Fraser High we are seeing bits and pieces of 80’s garb on today’s teens. You can’t walk down the halls without seeing a dozen girls in skin-tight spandex pants and boots. Styles your parents wore are slowly coming back. Neon colors and sweater dresses are considered “trendy,” and high top shoes are “hip.” Even the jeans have made a huge comeback. The skinnier the better. It isn’t just girls that are wearing these 80’s styles. Guys are also wear these skinny jeans, some are even tighter than the girls. Some stores are almost completely 80’s fashion. For example American Apparel has clothes that are daring, and comfy. They have everything from dresses, to spandex in almost ever color that you can imagine. It’s not just a store for women, men’s and children’s clothes are also available here. Accessories are also big this year. Big sunglasses, necklaces, bracelets and scarves are a must have accessory.  Hair styles are coming back too. Although we hopefully may never see feathered hair again this isn’t the case for all hairstyles. Multi-colored hair is more acceptable today then in the past years. Hairspray is a necessity and crimped hair is appealing. Along with big hair, bright colored bold make-up is becoming more and more popular. The bigger, and bolder the better. From hair, belts, and socks the fashion clock is rewinding itself. We can expect more style changes with each day that goes by. No one knows what style will be “in” next but one thing is for sure, if this bright 80’s fashion can make a comeback anything can.
