The new school soccer team has succeeded for the first time in the first game since the beginning of the year.



In the first game the location was in Maryland Thursday Oct 12th 2006. The school we played against was Thorton Friends. When our team first reached there they thought that they were going to play against an elementary school because the field they played on was an elementary school field but the other team turned out to be a high school using this field. In the first half our team tried its best to defend and to attack at the same time. Between the first half our team got a foul that was pretty close to the goal David kicked a hard shot which made the ball start spinning towards the goal that he was practicing on and it was hard for the goal keeper to save. At the last minutes of the first half two goals were made one for our team and one for the other. The first goal was a left leg shot by Omar. Chris Delmar passed the ball to Omar between two players and while the goalkeeper was coming up to him Omar kicked the ball slowly under the goalkeeper. For the second goal one of their attackers headed the ball from a very far end of the goal. Our goalkeeper Liz worked very hard saving strong shots since the beginning but she got confused because there was a lot of player around her and she was counting on the defenders but they were tiered. After that the first half ended. Culver changed a couple of players and changed the formation. In the second half both of the teams tried to score goals because both defenses were good but the other teams defense was not good for Johns shot, he blasted the ball from the middle of the fields that no one actually saw especially the goalkeeper. The goalkeeper looked very funny, he just stood there. After that goal the team concentrated on defense until the end of the game. The team returned with victory.
