Mr. Thomas Cook’s Multimedia and Web Page Design class has worked on a project in which they designed a banner for the Hillside New Tech Journalism web page. Students are required to have both a RGB mode banner (meaning it has color) and a Grayscale logo for the print paper. The students are split into two groups, one group will use Gimp software and the other will use SUMOpaint.

Roxy Arevalo, a student who is in both Cook’s Multimedia and Web Page Design class and Kathryn Livingston’s Journalism class says, “It is exciting to have a project in one class that relates to another class that I am also taking.”

Brandon Best, also a student of Cook’s says “It is exciting because it is something that we can see used again everyday it’s not just a project we turn in and forget about.”

The project is to be turned in on Tuesday. February 20th, 2012. Be on the lookout for our new logo!!
