This winter I-hall is all dressed up for the holiday season! The two bulletin boards that encircle the entryway to I-hall are exquisitely decorated. One displays a bright red sled complete with a jolly ol’ St. Nick, presents, and a bystanding snowman while upon the other Rudolph stands, he nose glowing red. Completing the scene is a quite festive tree. The tree, resurrected from the depths of Bend High by Mrs. Brown, twinkles with multi-colored lights and supports a plethora of ornaments.
Teachers and students alike feel the holiday warmth these decorations bring to this distant wing of Bend High. As Ms. VanJaarsveld commented, “Don’t you just love that I-hall has its own little tree?” The tree’s popularity was equally well received with the students as is apparent from immediate appreciation of the candy canes that (used to) hang upon its limbs.
All in all, the decorations are a great improvement to a hall that sometimes feels standoffish in its removed location.
