PDA
Explored
Public
Display of Affection, more commonly known as “PDA”. PDA Is a debatable subject
between teachers and students.
Most
of the students here at Corbett Jr. High seem to disagree with the District
policy against PDA, while many teachers appear to agree with it. Our very own
Vice Principal, Mrs. Garcia, agrees with the policy. She believes it’s a
distraction to school and that she’s entrusted with the care of our student
body.
While
most students think it’s ok to show public displays of affection such as holding
hands or hugging, but many agree kissing should be reserved for less public
atmospheres.
But
some of our students don’t agree with the policy at all. Kyla and Peyton think
it’s unfair to get in trouble for showing public displays of affection. Then
again Patrick agrees with the policy against PDA; he says it makes him curious
about what people do when they aren’t in public.
