Hollywood Affairs happen every year, but this year the affair is at the homecoming of Central.
According to new principal Fred Trujillo, homecoming is an exciting time.
“In my previous years of being principal at Escalante High homecoming was by far the biggest event,” Trujillo said.
The four senior nominees are Zolanye McCulley, Moriah Brown, Kaelee Vigil, and Cristiana Lopez.
McCulley expressed that she was very excited and honored to be a nominee of this event. “I would hope they nominated me because I try to treat everyone like I want to be treated, as Mr. Many said ‘Everyone is someone’ and also they see my love for Central,” McCulley said.
Brown was shocked at her nomination.
“We already have the bell and this tops it off and adds to all the great things this year,” she said.
Vigil was solemn.
“This has definitely made my senior year even better,” Vigil said.
Lopez was ecstatic about her nomination.
“It means a lot to be nominated because I’ve watched amazing girls be nominated for the past three years. Not only girls that I have looked up to but girls that have made a difference like I hope to make,” Lopez said.
All of the homecoming attendants were excited to see what the 2008-2009 homecoming would bring. In the end, Zolanye McCulley was crowned Homecoming Queen. All of the girls laughed histarically at the assembly, and danced the night away at the Hollywood Affrair dance the following saturday. Although Homecoming has slowly settled down and things are back in motion, the girls will always remember their senior Homecoming! Congratulations Homecoming Queen Zolanye McCulley and the rest of the Homecoming attendents!
