This year, the entire Wildcat yearbook will be in full color for the first time.

For the first time in Central High School history, the 2009 yearbook will be in all color.

Traditionally, yearbooks were always black and white and things from, senior pictures to sports and clubs were in color.

“I think its great, not only is it changing the tradition, its making a difference having a yearbook in color,” said Social Studies teacher Dean Gray.

Making a yearbook is not that much of a cost, but having a colored yearbook will cost a little bit more, but for the cost of a yearbook for students will not change.

Now that the yearbook will be in all color this year, pictures will be in better quality than the regular black and white photos that were used in the passed.

Since 1826, Central High School yearbooks were always black and white and the seniors class pictures were in color, so it has been tradition ever since.

According to Senior Adrian Baca, “I think the yearbook will be better in color now, even though we are changing traditions of a yearbook. I do not think it is going to make that big of a difference.”

Having an all color yearbook is not what you see in everyday life in high school.

With an all color yearbook, more students will buy yearbooks because, the entire yearbook from classes to clubs, will be in color in the yearbook.

Gray stated, “I think color is better, so I think more people would buy yearbooks but I don’t know how many more will,”

Having a colored yearbook, means that it takes more time to create the yearbook.

Making a yearbook is hard work, trying to find a background to finding the perfect pictures to go with it.

According to Junior Ali Delgado, “I think its kind of cool that we are having a colored yearbook this year. I think it is going to be exciting. I can’t wait to see this bad boy!”

With this colored yearbook, comes more responsibilities for the students in annual staff because, it is a school-based organization.

This 2009 colored yearbook is the end of a tradition and a beginning of another.
