Mrs. Creekmore’s senior classes are participating in the making of a Shakespearean movie. The students were separated into groups to film their original movies. They had to speak in the Shakespearean language but other than that, the students could make their video about anything they wanted. The students had very original ideals ranging from a store robbery, to a news channel, to rescuing a princess.
The students were graded on their script, plot summary, cast of characters, and if they used Shakespearean language or not.
Senior English teacher, Kate Creekmore said, “The seniors have read Macbeth and Hamlet, so they have a grasp on the way Shakespeare used language. They then had to put the knowledge to the test by writing, producing, and directing their own Shakespearean videos.”
Senior Lacy Simmons said, “I thought it was fun and more exciting than sitting in a desk doing work, but it was hard to get everyone together to get it done. I will never forget it!”
