Ill Scarlett is a band with a very unique sound. Their pop/punk/reggae style music is a signature creation that can’t be matched. Their drive and aggressive attitude in going for what they want is an essential part of what has gotten them noticed in the music industry.

Alex Norman, the vocalist of the band, and drummer Swav Pior met in high school and added bassist John Doherty and guitarist Will Mar to the mix later on.

The band got their big break in 2004 when they pulled into a parking lot at Warped Tour and played for the people that were waiting in line at an attempt to sell their independent, self-financed EP’s. They caught the eye of Kevin Lymon, the Warped Tour founder who invited them to play at his post-show party where they did an awesome job and have been Warped Tour guests ever since.

Ill Scarlett’s first major label album was released on July 9, 2007. The first single, “Nothing Special,” was extremely successful when released on Canadian rock radio in May. The album, which was produced by Matthew Wilder, is certainly proof of the hard work Wilder forced and urged the band to put into the album.
