St. Dominic Academy has lots of news to share, this year especially. It only makes sense that the students have come together to form The Veritas, a student-run newspaper.

Editor-in-chief Jen McClean was determined to find a creative outlet for all the students interested in journalism. The founding group of students also expressed frustration at the lack of communication between groups at the school, and decided the best way to move forward was by creating The Veritas.

Veritas is Latin for truth, and the major component of St. Dominic Academy's logo and mission.

When in need for a professional partner, Steve Costello of the Lewiston Sun-Journal stepped forward to volunteer the services of his reputable news organization. The Sun-Journal has committed to publishing 10 issues (monthly) in a full color tab format. News will stay updated on this website, and the group hopes to have the funds to print weekly updates for distribution at the school as well.
