Do you want to go to college? You have the GPA, right? Have you taken the ACT? To get into a college you have to take it. It’s almost just as vital to your college career as having the right grades and classes. In fact, at times a high score on the ACT can even outweigh some of your grade book blunders. You even need it to get certain scholarships. So, when can you take it? Tests are available at various locations on any of these dates. You can also take the test over if you’re not satisfied with your score, something I recommend. The standard test fee, with the writing, is $44.50 and $30 minus the writing. To sign up, you can pick up an application from the guidance office or sign up online at http://www.actstudent.org/. The School code for Hillwood is 431683. Now, the only question left is, are you prepared? Well, if not, there is still hope. ACT test prep booklets are available in the office. The booklet is filled with practice questions, as well as, test taking tips and strategies. Also, a wider variety of practice questions are available on the website previously mentioned. There are even books you can pick up at your local bookstore dedicated to preparing you for the ACT. So, what are you waiting for? Go sign up. Good luck.
