After narrowly falling to Walsh Jesuit Jan. 25, the girls basketball team is looking to finish off the season strong.

Hoban led nearly the entire game, yet the Knights could not hold off the Warriors' unanswered 8 points in the third quarter. Walsh sophomore Brianna Segerson made the game-winning shot late in the fourth quarter secure a 41-40 win. Walsh junior Johnna Zaccari led all scorers with 13 points, followed by Hoban senior Katie Arbogast with 12.

Sophomore Kelsey Finnegan attended the game.

"It was disappointing to see the Knights lose after they had led most of the game," Finnegan said. "I really thought Hoban was going to win."

The team pulled off a decisive win against Holy Name on Saturday, winning 69-33. The Knights took an early 15-point lead at the end of the first quarter. The following quarters were replicas of the first, with Hoban outscoring the Green Wave in every period.

Arbogast again led the Knights with 19 points, making four three-pointers. She was followed by junior Tenishia Benson, who scored 15.

With the win, the team improved to 10-5 on the season.

The Knights defeated West Holmes 58-46 in the Classic in the Country tournament Jan. 16 at Berlin Hiland High School.

The Knights fell to the Trinity Trojans 64-57 Jan. 19. Trinity senior Rachel Fitz led all scorers with 27 points, followed by Arbogast with 20.
