GROWLER: Where are you from?

SC: Yueyang, China

GROWLER: What do you miss most about home?



SC: The Food

GROWLER: What’s your favorite thing about being in America?

SC: A lot of things. Hanging out with my new friends, experiencing new things, and just enjoying American life.

GROWLER: What made you want to be a foreign exchange student?

SC: I wanted to try something new and I was curious about coming to America.

GROWLER: How did you get involved with the process of being a foreign exchange student?

SC: I had to go through two processes. First I had to write an essay and answer questions. Then I had to go through an interview with the program president.

GROWLER: How long are you going to be in America?

SC: 10 Months

GROWLER: What has been you best experience so far?

SC: Going to the beach.

GROWLER: What have been your favorite subjects in school?

SC: Calculus and Speech

GROWLER: How does this school differ from that in your homeland?

SC: At my old school the students didn’t change classes, the teachers did. The school was very big, with over 5,000 students, with lots of classrooms, and we all had to wear uniforms.

GROWLER: Do you plan to return to America?

SC: I plan on going back home, updating my visa and coming back to America to attend a university and find a good job.
