“School for Scoundrels” Stars Billy Bob Thornton and Jon Heder(well known for “Napoleon Dynamite”). The main character, Roger, finds himself being pushed around and not feeling happy with his life. When a friend sees this, he gives Roger a number for a top secret school for men who need a confidence boost. After Roger starts advancing in the class and impressing Amanda, Dr.P, the instructor, decides to take Amanda from the newly confident Roger. When the competitive Dr. P takes Amanda out on a date, the two men start a fierce competition for her.

This comedy produced no more than a handful of laughs from the audience and me. While there were some funny parts in the movie, it was a disappointment. The two lead actors have both starred in hilarious movies, but this one was not up to par. The plot of the movie was interesting and had the capacity to be more humorous than it was. During the second half of the movie I started to get an itch for it to progress quicker.

Although the movie made me laugh and I had fun watching, I would not recommend it for a comedy movie. It did not have enough funny parts or quotable lines to be memorable and truly comedic. The movie was rated PG-13 for a little bit of language and ran slightly over an hour and a half.
