Approximately 150 students gathered around the flag pole September 24.
Most student skipped lunch to attend the annual event organized and led by senior Megan Shelby.
Students were somber as prayer began in groups and individually remembering the very recent 19 year old UAM student Dustin Ferguson killed in an automobile accident two days prior to the event.
Local youth pastors from various churches and seven teachers participated in the event as well.
See You at the Pole began in Burleson, TX when a group of youth wanted to pray at various schools. The event has grown to reach more than 3 million youth in more than 20 countries.
