Waldron High School now has a new teacher after a couple weeks of searching for a replacement.
Her name is Ms. Krack, pronounced like "crock," and this Indiana University graduate came to Waldron after the previous teacher, Mr. Gorrell, resigned.
"I am excited about [teaching in] a small community, and I have heard nothing but good things," said Krack. "I'm looking forward to meeting all the students."
As well, students are also excited about getting a new teacher and looking forward to getting to know her.
"I like her so far. She seems nice," said Junior Clayton McClure. "I like the way she teaches. She is real easy [to understand]."
Krack, who is in her second week of teaching at Waldron, wants to get more involved in school activities.
"I don't know yet [about getting involved], maybe track or cross country," said Krack.
While this is her first teaching job, Krack did previously work in the marketing field. However, she is looking forward to teaching students and giving them the tools to succeed.
"I want to be able to give students tool they can use for the rest of their lives," said Krack.
