Starting its 36th year, the Arts Array film series continues to bring more independent and foreign films to the region. Beginning in January, the films are shown every Monday and Tuesday at 4 and 7:30 p.m., and admission is $6.25. “Crimson Gold” (showing Feb. 13-14) tells the story of an ordinary pizza deliveryman in Iran and his journey through the dirty streets and the fancy apartments of Tehran.

“The Prizewinner of Defiance, Ohio” (showing Feb. 20-21) captures the essence of lower middle-class life in the 1950s. Starring Julianne Moore as a loving mother of 10 with an alcoholic husband, this film depicts a woman doing everything in her power to create a stable, safe home for her family.

“The Gospel” (showing Feb. 27-28) is a film filled with glorious gospel music and contemporary black America. It tells the story of a man and his reconnection with God after a childhood tragedy.

“Paradise Now” (showing March 6-7) depicts the story of two Palestinians just 48 hours before they are to end their lives in suicide bombings. With the pressure mounting,

the two don’t know which way to go. This film won a Golden Globe for Best Foreign Film.

The French film “Après Vous” (showing March 13-14) tells the story of Antoine and his encounter with a man attempting to hang himself. Louis then proceeds to be completely devoted to Antoine, but things change after Antoine falls in love with Louis’s girlfriend.

“Tarnation” (showing March 20-21) is a collection of footage that Jonathon Caouette has been shooting since the age of 11. He displays his life as a gay boy growing

up in harsh family environment through family photos, home videos and present-day tapings.

“Memory of a Killer” (showing March 27-28) involves a killer with a code and a moral cop that respects him. When Angleo Ledda discovers his last mission is to kill a 12-year-old girl, his moral instinct jolts him into hunting down the men who ordered the girl’s murder.

“Pride and Prejudice” (showing April 3-4) is the latest

remake of Jane Austen’s legendary battle of the sexes. Starring Keira Knightley as Elizabeth Bennet, this film tells the story of the five Bennet sisters and their quest for husbands.

‘The Squid and the Whale” (April 10-11) is about the impact of divorce on a Brooklyn family.
