All-State Chorus auditions are next Wednesday.

Because the song is in German, director Terry Gullickson said, “It’s tough. Some of them are nervous.”

Concert Choir has 68 vocalists, and the Lynx Choir, 61. Their fall concert is Oct. 15.

Both choirs sang in Washington, D.C., in June at the Capitol, several memorials and a Washington Nationals game. They met both South Dakota senators and alumnus, Nancy Erickson, who is the Secretary of Senate.

 “It was a great learning experience,” Gullickson said.

Choir’s next trip will be to Orlando, Fla., in 2012.
